Artists to watch
Natanya
Let me introduce you to Natanya, the London-based sensation with Nigerian and Trinidadian roots who made her start, taking TikTok by storm with her catchy hit “Foolish.” This track gives off major early 2000s romantic Latin pop vibes, and it’s seriously addictive.
Not one to miss a beat, Natanya dropped her amazing self-written six-track debut project, "Sorrow At Sunrise," in 2023. It’s packed with gems like “Angel” and “23” that really showcase her talent. If you caught her live at the Cross The Tracks festival in May 2023, you know she absolutely killed it and owned that stage.
She’s just getting started with a summer of touring underway, and a new single “boombox” already a certfied summer hit, we’re sure she’s one to keep an eye on.
Xylitol
Meet Xylitol, the brainchild of Catherine Backhouse, producer and DJ under the name of Bunnyhausen. This project blends jungle and cosmic vibes, creating an innovative electronic sound. With almost twenty years in the game, Catherine knows how to capture your ears with tracks that are both dreamy and danceable.
Her live shows are something else—think sparse electronic soundscapes mixed with thumping breakbeats that make you lose yourself. Besides her solo gigs, Xylitol also co-hosts the radio show "Slav To The Rhythm," solidifying her presence in the electronic music scene.
With her unique style and mesmerising performances, Xylitol is definitely an artist you need to keep on your radar. She’s all about pushing the limits of electronic music, and we’re here for it!
Legss
Finally, Legss, an experimental London band is my latest obsession. These guys mix post-punk, experimental rock, and art punk into an electrifying sound. The band features Louis Grace on drums and piano, Ned Green on guitars and vocals, Jake Martin on bass, and Max Oliver on guitars.
Their latest release, "Fester," is a genre-blending masterpiece that's been on repeat for me. Critics and fans are loving it, and it's easy to see why. I’m desperate to see them live, their energy on stage is apparently unforgettable.
With standout tracks like "Doomswayers" and "Writhing," Legss is carving out a unique place in experimental rock. They’re well worth a listen.
