Unique Brian Eno documentary film to debut in UK cinemas

A one-of-a-kind documentary about the legendary musician and producer Brian Eno is set to premiere in UK cinemas this summer. The film, simply titled "Eno," will be screened at Picturehouse Cinemas across the country starting July 12th. What makes this documentary truly special is that each screening will feature a different version of the film, thanks to innovative technology.

Filmmaker Gary Hustwit, known for his work on the documentary "Rams," collaborated with creative technologist Brendan Dawes to develop a software that generates unique sequences and transitions for each screening. The software draws from Hustwit's extensive interviews with Eno and a vast archive of never-before-seen footage and unreleased music. This means that no two audiences will experience the same 90-minute film.

The documentary aims to showcase Eno's creativity and his impact on the music world over his 50-year career. Hustwit describes the film as "an art film about creativity," using Eno's impressive body of work as its foundation. The goal is to create a cinematic experience that mirrors Eno's innovative approach to music and art.

Alongside the film's release, a soundtrack featuring Eno's music will be available to stream or purchase on CD and vinyl through Universal Music Recordings.

The screenings will take place at various Picturehouse Cinema locations, including Bath, Brighton, Brixton, Cambridge, Central London, Edinburgh, Exeter, Liverpool, and York, among others. Fans can find more information and book tickets on the Picturehouse website.

Brian Eno, known for his groundbreaking work as a musician, producer, and collaborator, has consistently pushed the boundaries of creativity throughout his career. This unique documentary offers a fitting tribute to his legacy and provides audiences with an unprecedented glimpse into his world.
